The Island Youth Worker Conference exists to help the full-time and volunteer youth worker train their teams to reach youth and point them to Jesus. With COVID-19 wrecking havoc on our world, this year has been an especially challenging time for youth workers on all fronts. That is why we are bringing in top trainers, leaders, and grizzled veterans in the Youth Work field. We want to assist you in equipping your team through the IYWC. 

Everything is different this year. Because of the restrictions on gatherings we want to bring IYWC to you, the youth worker. Our format is simple. We encourage you to gather together (in a safe, physically distanced way) as a youth leadership team in your church or a home for a day of training with a specific focus for the youth worker. You can participate in the main sessions and worship time together before breaking off into Zoom rooms to join a live feed for each breakout session. The presenter will share content with you on the specific topic and allow for a time of Q&A before you leave the room. If you can’t get together as a team, feel free to join individually from wherever you are. Our aim is to present high-quality training that any sized team can afford; packed with inspiration, encouragement, and practical coaching.

Each youth worker will go away with skills that apply to the situations they face each week.

The IYWC exists to help train paid and volunteer youth workers to share the love of God with the youth of Vancouver Island and Lower-Mainland BC.
